Gender Issues Research Center

Gender Issues Research Center was started in May 1999 by journalist Vera Fallon. She graduated from Penn State University with a journalism degree and U.S. history minor. 

Her articles for the past nine years have appeared in professional publications that have included small town newspapers, regional magazines and national magazines. She also briefly served as an editor of a Knight-Ridder magazine. Fallon is listed in the Marquis Who's Who in the Media and Communications. 

She assisted Daphne Patai, author of Professing Feminism: Cautionary Tales from the Strange World of Women's Studies , in researching her book on sexual harassment called Heterophobia: Sexual Harassment and the Future of Feminism .

Fallon has appeared as a guest on "Is There Justice in Domestic Courts?," a radio program in Cleveland, Ohio, and on a gender issues radio program broadcasted by KPSU in Portland, Ore.
